Description

This dry river stand is located in the Moria portion of Moditlo Estate. Situated within a secure game reserve and enveloped by 330ha of prime African bush, is a development with 474 1ha stands, forming part of a 10 000ha conservancy. 21km of perennial river frontage meander through this spectacular estate with good mountain views and various dams. Moditlo Estate is 12kms from Hoedspruit on the R40. The magnificent Northern Drakensberg Mountains forms the backdrop of the reserve. The reserve is home to the ’Big Four‘, consisting of Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant. Plains game are numerous and include Kudu, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala and Waterbuck amongst others. There is also Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena. The estate has 2 seasonal rivers running through it; the Mbezi and the Moditlo. Vegetation on the reserve varies from riverine to open plains with a magnificent variety of trees including, Knobthorn, Marula, Leadwood, Weeping Boer Bean and Wild Figs.
